Furniture Measuring Guide
Furniture photos can make pieces look smaller or larger than they are. Before ordering from DreamNest Home, use this guide to check whether a product will fit your room, doorway, and daily walking space.
Before you order
- Measure the wall or floor area where the product will sit.
- Check nearby outlets, baseboards, door swings, closet doors, and drawer clearance.
- Leave walking space around beds, sofas, coffee tables, and TV stands.
- Compare the product dimensions in inches with your available space.
For dressers and cabinets
Measure total wall width, drawer opening space, and the path from your door to the final room. Larger drawer pieces need enough room in front so drawers can open comfortably.
For nightstands
Measure the space between the bed and wall, the height of your mattress, and any nearby outlet or charging area.
For TV stands
Measure TV width, wall width, outlet position, and whether you want the stand to be wider than the TV for a balanced look.
